The Philadelphia Eagles are in the market for an edge rusher, especially now that Jaelan Phillips is headed to Carolina. The team had reportedly reached out to both Trey Hendrickson and to the Vikings about Jonathan Greenard.
Hendrickson agreed to a deal with the Ravens for four years and $112 million, which can go up to $120 million with incentives. The former Bengals defender is now off the board, which leaves Greenard for the Eagles.
Greenard is two years into a four-year, $76 million contract with the Vikings, and has a $19 million salary for 2026. He earned the first Pro Bowl of his career in 2024, and has recorded 97 total tackles, 34 QB hits, and 15 sacks in his two seasons in Minnesota.
A trade for Greenard would likely cost the Eagles at least a mid-round pick — and the Eagles were just awarded four compensatory picks in the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft. Hoiwe Roseman might also need to work out a new contract with Greenard.
Do you think the Eagles should trade for him?
