Man United prepared to welcome Marcus Rashford back this summer
In late February, Rashford’s agents were spotted in Barcelona talks with just months remaining on his loan deal in Spain.
According to Fabrizio Romano, an agreement is close between Rashford and Barcelona over personal terms.
“The point on Rashford is that personal terms are almost agreed between Rashford and Barcelona,” Romano said.

“As I always mentioned, with the elections at Barcelona nothing is going to happen this month in terms of club-to-club negotiations between Barcelona and Manchester United. So we have to wait for those stages where Barcelona can actually reach an agreement with Manchester United.
“What I can tell you today is that if Barcelona don’t pay the €30m, the message from Manchester United is clear: the player comes back and they will have plenty of clubs interested in signing Rashford after he did very well at Barcelona.
“United feel very relaxed.”

The clause agreed with Barcelona means that Rashford could leave for the agreed £26m fee, but if he returns to Old Trafford in the summer, Ineos can re-think their asking price.
Rashford has impressed at Barcelona with 10 goals and 13 assists across all competitions this season.

The 28-year-old will be sought after in the transfer market even if Barcelona don’t take up their buy option. There is even a chance that Ineos could earn more from Rashford’s sale to another club.
Considering that Rashford is an academy product, any sale in the summer will provide pure profit on the books for United’s PSR standings.
