Everton are showing an interest in signing Torino midfielder Cesare Casadei.
In fact, it’s being reported that an Everton representative is in Italy to discuss the potential transfer with Torino.
Casadei, who spent four years of his career in England, has impressed in Serie A this season following his £12.5m switch from Chelsea last summer.

But, despite showing some promise back in his homeland, Everton should seriously consider pulling the plug on the deal to sign the 23-year-old.
Moyes’ current deal expires next year… 🤔

Everton target Cesare Casadei has already shown he’ll struggle playing in England
I watched a fair bit of Casadei during his four-year stint in England, especially during his loan spell at Leicester City in the 2023/24 campaign.
The Italy youth international joined the Foxes with a big reputation and was expected to play a key role in their promotion.
But, I instantly noticed in his first few games that he just wasn’t made for English football.

Casadei looked slow and ponderous in the Championship and very much looked like a midfielder better suited to the game abroad.
Would you be happy with this potential transfer Toffees fans? 🤔
Everton target Crysencio Summerville.
Manager Enzo Maresca spotted that as well, as he often started the Italian on the bench, only handing him eight starts in total.
There’s no doubt Casadei has talent, he wouldn’t have played for Chelsea otherwise, but his lack of dynamism and pace will remain an issue if he returns to England.
So, even though Casadei will have improved since joining Torino, Everton’s recruitment team should probably look at other targets.
It’s quite staggering that they’ve even added the Torino star to their shortlist; surely they would’ve watched his footage at Leicester.
Considering the kind of profile Moyes likes in his midfield, I’d be surprised if this is a player he’s personally targeting.
The 2003-born isn’t tenacious like Idrissa Gana Gueye, he doesn’t have the technical quality of a James Garner or Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, either.
Moyes and his chiefs are monitoring Jason Knight at Bristol City; he would be a much safer midfield signing.
