Chelsea’s injury list is beginning to lighten after Liam Rosenior inherited a long list of long-term absentees. But ahead of the clash against PSG, South American media have an update on Estevao.
When Rosenior joined the club, Chelsea had Levi Colwill, Dario Essugo and Romeo Lavia sidelined with long-term issues. Since then, Jamie Gittens, Tosin Adarabioyo and Estevao have picked up muscle issues.
But among the injuries, Colwill is back in training, and both Essugo and Lavia played against Wrexham. The latter is in the squad to face PSG, while Essugo has been left at home as he continues his recovery.

Colwill is unlikely to make a return soon, while Gittens and Estevao continue their recovery. Estevao’s name was absent from Chelsea’s squad list and now, reports from Brazil have an update on the winger.
The Brazil star has now missed Chelsea’s last four games in all competitions, against Leeds, Burnley, Aston Villa and Wrexham. The Young Player of the Year at the London Football Awards has a hamstring issue.

But Chelsea confirmed they have travelled to Paris without Estevao and now, according to ESPN Brazil, it is not only the Champions League last 16 first-leg clash that the former Palmeiras star will be missing.
Indeed, Estevao will also be absent for the Newcastle United clash at Stamford Bridge on Saturday night. Luckily for Liam Rosenior, he has Alejandro Garnacho finally proving his £40m transfer fee out wide.
Where Chelsea will get the better of PSG on Wednesday night
Chelsea have a real chance this evening, against a PSG side that are miles behind the level they were at last season. This is almost a PSG side in transition, lacking the experience they had during 2024-25.
Can Chelsea produce a repeat of the Club World Cup final?
PSG aren't the side they were last season!
Gianluigi Donnarumma has left, Marquinhos is no longer a starting option, and Ruiz is injured. Chelsea can get the better of PSG and having Liam Rosenior in charge helps, a manager who has beaten PSG.
Frank Leboeuf says Chelsea will run over PSG’s midfield and the combination of Reece James, Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez have a real chance of winning the battle from that position.
