Eagles trade rumor offers bad news for Packers, Bears, 49ers, Seahawks and Raiders

There have been trade rumors floating around about Philadelphia Eagles defensive lineman Jalen Carter of late.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Eagles have been getting trade calls on Carter this offseason.

The belief has been that the Eagles might be willing to deal Carter after the team signed fellow defensive lineman Jordan Davis to a big extension and Philly may not be willing to pay big money to two interior defenders.

While that might end up being true, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Eagles are not and have not been shopping Carter this offseason.

"The Eagles have never made Jalen Carter available and they have never shopped him," Schefter said on The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday.

This is bad news for the Las Vegas Raiders, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks, all of whom have shown interest in Carter, Easton Butler of Packers Report revealed.

The fact of the matter is, the Eagles don't really need to be in any hurry to trade Carter, even if that's in their plans at some point.

After all, Carter still has two more years left on his rookie deal when you include the fifth-year option, which leaves plenty of time to evaluate things.

Philly is also in win-now mode and it wouldn't make much sense to trade such a key member of its defense before at least the 2027 season.

When putting it all together, it looks like Carter isn't going anywhere in 2026.
