ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the Miami Dolphins signed veteran edge rusher Joshua Uche on Wednesday.
The Miami Dolphins kept some of their edge rushing depth this offseason by re-signing Cameron Goode. On Wednesday, they added to it with Joshua Uche.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the Dolphins are signing Uche to a 1-year contract.
Uche once played in the AFC East with the New England Patriots. The edge rusher spent the 2025 season with the Philadelphia Eagles.
During his third season with the Patriots in 2022, Uche posted 11.5 sacks with nine tackles for loss and 14 quarterback hits. He also had two pass defenses while playing in 15 games that campaign.
Uche, a Miami native, registered 23 combined tackles, including two tackles for loss, with three quarterback hits, one sack and one pass defense in 2025.
Uche’s contract, along with Miami’s agreements with their other free agents, can become official at 4 pm ET Wednesday. That’s when the NFL officially begins their new league year, allowing free agents to sign their contracts.
