From Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen to Kroy Biermann and Kim Zolciak-Biermann, not every NFL love story has a happy ending.
Brady - who retired from football for good in February 2023 - began dating the supermodel in 2006, two months before learning his ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan was pregnant with the pair's first baby. Son Jack arrived in 2007, with the Brazil native becoming his stepmother.
Brady and Bündchen went on to tie the knot in February 2009 before welcoming two kids of their own - son Benjamin and daughter Vivian - in 2009 and 2012, respectively. After 13 years together, the couple sparked split speculation in 2022 when Brady decided to walk back his pro football retirement after just six weeks off the field. They announced in October of that year that they had officially gone their separate ways.
Zolciak-Biermann, for her part, filed for divorce from Biermann in May 2023 after 11 years of marriage - and the pair were subsequently locked in a lengthy legal back and forth. The former Atlanta Falcons linebacker even accused Zolciak-Biermann of having a gambling problem in his request for full custody of their four minor children: Kroy "KJ" Jr., Kash and twins Kaia and Kane. Zolciak-Biermann later refuted his allegations about her parenting. (Biermann previously adopted his now-estranged wife's oldest daughters, Brielle and Ariana, after their November 2011 wedding.)

Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen
After Tom Brady revealed in March 2022 that he did not plan to retire yet, his relationship with Gisele Bündchen went through a rough patch. Us Weekly confirmed in September 2022 that the pair had each hired divorce lawyers.
"Tom and Gisele are still not seeing eye to eye regarding his retirement," a source exclusively told Us in September 2022. "They are currently living in separate houses, but continue to communicate."
One month later, the twosome confirmed via their respective Instagram Stories that they had privately finalized their divorce.

Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari
Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler wed in June 2013, nearly two years after she briefly called off their engagement. After seven years of marriage, Cavallari filed for divorce in April 2020.
"[Jay] is guilty of such inappropriate marital conduct as renders further cohabitation unsafe and improper," she alleged in court docs at the time, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split. He did not address her claims at the time.
Amid their divorce proceedings, the pair argued over joint custody of sons Camden and Jaxon and daughter Saylor, residency of their shared Nashville mansion and ownership of Cavallari's Uncommon James brand. Their divorce was finalized in June 2022.

Braxton Berrios and Sophia Culpo
Braxton Berrios and Sophia Culpo split in early 2023 after two years together, shortly after rumors swirled that he had cheated on Culpo with TikToker Alix Earle. Berrios denied the claims as his ex took their drama to social media.
"It had nothing to do with anything else. It had nothing to do with anybody else, for that matter. And we just didn't work out, and that's OK," he said in a June 2023 Instagram Story video, revealing he wants "everyone to move on and do whatever makes them happy."
Berrios and Earle later split in 2025 after two years together.

Kroy Biermann and Kim Zolciak-Biermann
While Kim Zolciak-Biermann previously claimed that divorce was "not an option in my house" back in 2017, she ultimately filed to end her marriage in 2023. Kroy Biermann later alleged in his own filing that their relationship was "irretrievably broken" and sought sole custody of their four minor children.
The "Don't Be Tardy" singer requested in May 2023 that Biermann be drug-tested shortly before he asked that she undergo a psychological evaluation for her behavior, which he claimed made her allegedly "unable to properly care for the children."
In July 2023, the pair reconciled - but it was not meant to be. One month later Biermann filed for divorce for a second time.

Aaron Rodgers and Shailene Woodley
Aaron Rodgersl started dating Shailene Woodley in the summer of 2020, and the duo surprised fans with their engagement in February 2021. They called it quits in February 2022, only to briefly reconcile one month later.
"Shailene doesn't know if she wants to get back together yet," a source told Us at the time. "He thinks their differences don't matter and that they would make a great fit."
The exes ultimately did not get back together after their brief reunion.

Tom Brady and Bridget Moynahan
Bridget Moynahan learned she was pregnant shortly after she and Tom Brady called it quits - and as he had already moved on with Gisele Bündchen.
"Two months into our relationship, Tom told me that his ex-girlfriend was pregnant. The very next day, the news was everywhere and I felt my world had been turned upside down," Bündchen wrote in her 2018 memoir, Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life, noting that Moynahan's pregnancy "wasn't an easy time" for her but "brought about so much growth."
The exes have continued to coparent son Jack through the years.

Mike Caussin and Jana Kramer
Mike Caussin and Jana Kramer first separated in 2016, less than one year after Kramer gave birth to daughter Jolie. At the time, Us broke the news that Caussin had cheated on his then-wife with multiple women. The former athlete subsequently entered treatment for sex addiction before he and Kramer reconciled in 2017 and welcomed son Jace. Kramer later revealed that Caussin suffered a "massive" relapse in his addiction struggles but did not have sex with another woman at the time. They ultimately split for good in April 2021 after continued infidelity.
The country singer and Caussin eventually settled into a coparenting rhythm. He even formed a friendship with her fiancé, Allan Russell. (Kramer and the former soccer star revealed in June 2023 that they were expecting their first baby together.)

Hank Baskett and Kendra Wilkinson
As rumors swirled in 2014 that Hank Baskett cheated on Kendra Wilkinson after she gave birth to baby No. 2, Us confirmed that Wilkinson had thrown her wedding ring in the toilet. Baskett, for his part, denied the allegations. The pair initially stayed together, continuing to raise son Hank IV and daughter Aliyah. They announced in April 2018 that they had split for good.
Wilkinson later told Us in May 2023 that she will "forever love" Baskett and called him the "greatest father" to their children. "That itself is so good. It's good enough and if later down the line things happen, then they happen," she exclusively told Us, hinting at a potential reconciliation down the line. "I will always love him and I loved him once. Love doesn't just go away."

Josh Allen and Brittany Williams

While the pair did not address their alleged split, speculation later swirled that Allen had been unfaithful. (He did not publicly address the cheating claims at the time.)
Us confirmed in June 2023 that Allen moved on with actress Hailee Steinfeld, with a source revealing that their romance was "going really great" one month into dating. They wed in May 2025, months before revealing that they are expecting a baby.
