The Seattle Seahawks have quietly re-signed a $2.7 million asset on their team, who just helped them in the Super Bowl.

The Seattle Seahawks are making a bevy of moves on Wednesday, March 11, and one re-signing that’s going under the radar deserves to be recognized.

While eyes are focused on big names, such as Las Vegas Raiders edge Maxx Crosby, and where they’ll end up, Seattle has quietly re-signed a player that helped them win Super Bowl LX back on February 8.

This player appeared in and won Super Bowl LX as the starting long snapper for the Seattle Seahawks, helping them secure that 29–13 win over the New England Patriots.

We’re talking about Chris Stoll. On Wednesday, the Seahawks re-signed the long snapper to a two-year deal, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Stoll was going to become a restricted free agent on Wednesday, giving him the ability to negotiate with other teams before the Seahawks would have had a chance to match that offer. Now, the Seahawks have locked him in, and that’s one less thing they have to worry about going into the 2026-27 season.

Player Hasn’t Missed 1 Game With the Seattle Seahawks

In Super Bowl LX, Stoll played 14 special teams snaps and successfully converted every snap, so he’s earned this roster spot. While full details of the move haven’t been reported yet, it won’t be too much, seeing as he’s coming out of a $2.7 million rookie deal, according to Spotrac research.

“The Seattle Seahawks might not be chasing the Trey Hendricksons of free agency (or even the Boye Mafes), but the team is bringing back key players who the national media might not care about,” Lee Vowell of 12th Man Rising stated in a piece out on Wednesday, making a good point that a player such as Stoll is still valuable.

Stoll, 27, is a Penn State product who first joined the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2023. Stoll has actually appeared in every game for the Seahawks over the past three seasons, according to NFL research.

This was one of two moves the Seahawks made Wednesday morning, as far as re-signings. Stoll joined backup offensive tackle Josh Jones as the morning re-signings, right as the NFL free agency period was heating up.

The Status of Maxx Crosby and the Seattle Seahawks

As for splashy names, where do the Seahawks stand with Crosby? The big news is that he’s available now, as the Baltimore Ravens have officially backed out of their deal to trade for Crosby.

“Ravens backed out of the Maxx Crosby trade,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter shared on X, breaking the news. That leaves an opening for the Seahawks to swoop in and get him.

So, that deal is over, and the Seattle Seahawks are now able to revisit the idea of bringing Crosby north to Seattle. The original the deal in place was to trade the five-time Pro-Bowl defensive end to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for 2026 and 2027 first-round picks, so Seattle will have to pay up if they want him in the form of draft picks. Plus, the Ravens have stated that they’re not budging on their asking price for him.
