For most of this season, the Boston Celtics have been Jaylen Brown's team. That changed last Friday, however, when Jayson Tatum finally returned from his Achilles injury.
Now, the team belongs to both of them again, just as it has for most of this decade.
Before Tatum returned, there were some rumors and speculation about how Brown would handle it and if there would be any friction between the two superstars.
During his appearance on Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady's "Cousins" podcast, Brown addressed where things stand between him and Tatum at the moment.
Jaylen Brown on all the outside noise of him and Jayson Tatum:
“We’ve accomplished a lot. We’ve won a lot and we one of the bigger profiles in the game, and it’s the Boston Celtics. So, anytime if one of us scratch our a** like it’s going to be on the news, right? You know what… pic.twitter.com/35LYNt8nsQ

"We’ve accomplished a lot. We’ve won a lot and we one of the bigger profiles in the game, and it’s the Boston Celtics. So, anytime if one of us scratch our a** like it’s going to be on the news, right? You know what I mean," Brown said. "So, we are aware and we’re both on the same page. We had a good talk today about what we want the most. We both, you know, talk to the team as well, which is important. So, because I feel like the team kind goes off, we’ll go off what our energy is."
So far, so good on that front, as the Celtics have won two of Tatum's first three games back. They might be 3-0 if Brown hadn't been ejected for arguing with the referees on Tuesday night.
Regardless, the transition has been pretty smooth so far, which isn't surprising. After all, they've only been teammates for nine years.
