Everton fans have been calling on David Moyes to give more opportunities to young players.
Supporters have urged Moyes to mix up his team selections for several weeks now as Everton find themselves on a run of just one win in eight games at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The away form has been strong enough to leave Everton sitting eighth at the time of writing – but fans are keen to see more of the likes of Tyler Dibling, Merlin Rohl and Adam Aznou.
It is an understandable request, but the nightmarish performance of Antonin Kinsky as Tottenham were embarrassed by Atletico Madrid offers a potential reason for David Moyes overlooking these talents.
How can Tyler Dibling actually turn things around at Everton? 🤷♂️
It's going to need some turnaround from the youngster 😫

David Moyes could be protecting Tyler Dibling and others from embarrassment as Igor Tudor humiliates Antonin Kinsky
Igor Tudor opted to throw the 22-year-old in for his UEFA Champions League debut after a string of poor displays from Guglielmo Vicario, although it was a decision which may have ruined the young man’s career.
The Czech Republic U21 international was clearly out of his depth as Atletico Madrid put one foot in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals after just one leg of the Round of 16 clash, racing into a 4-0 lead after just 22 minutes.

It was Kinsky who gifted two of those goals to Diego Simeone’s side, as Marcos Llorente punished the youngster for a sloppy pass in just the sixth minute before the Tottenham No.31 then messed up again to hand Julian Alvarez an open goal with only 15 minutes on the clock.
Tudor then opted to withdraw the man born in Prague immediately after that error in the 17th minute as Tottenham trailed 3-0. It was a truly embarrassing display not too dissimilar to that famously poor performance from Loris Karius for Liverpool in the 2018 UEFA Champions League final, when the German gifted Real Madrid two goals to hand them a 3-1 win.
David Moyes is experienced enough to know how to handle youngsters
Our point is that some young players – as talented as they may be – are not always ready to be thrown into the deep end.
Football is a brutal sport, where a nightmarish display like the one Kinsky endured inside the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium can be enough to ruin a career, or at least set it back a few years.
Moyes is the man who sees Dibling, Aznou, Rohl and other youngsters at Everton like the talented Braiden Graham on a daily basis at Finch Farm, and the Glaswegian is also a vastly experienced coach with 1,185 games in management under his belt.
Does David Moyes need to put more trust in Everton’s academy players? 😤
Surely some of these players can do better than Beto and Dwight McNeil! 😡

Therefore, if the 62-year-old feels these players aren’t ready to play for Everton, there is a good chance he is keeping them out of the spotlight for their own good.
