Meet the 9 highest paid NFL free agents, making everything from $60 to $120 million

The NFL off-season is just as exciting as nail biting games. The league's free agency period officially starts on Wednesday, March 11 at 4 pm ET, which means that big moves are happening.

For weeks, players and teams have been in communication so that their deals are ready to sign the moment the clock strikes. And, there is a lot of money to be spent. Per NFL Research, NFL teams doled out $2.3 billion in total contracts.

So, which players have signed the biggest contracts? Here are the top nine new contracts in the NFL.

Jaelan Phillips – $120 million

Linebacker Jaelan Phillips won the free agent battle when he signed a $30 million contract with the Carolina Panthers. The 26-year-old agreed to a four-year, $120 million deal, per the NFL. In 2025, the linebacker played for both the Miami Dolphins and the Philadelphia Eagles.

After news of his massive deal broke, his fiancé, Samantha, congratulated her partner on her Instagram story. She wrote: "LET'S GO BABY. Words can't even express how thrilled I am for you. You DESERVE THIS."

The couple who got engaged in August 2025 are expecting their first child, a baby boy, together this month.

Alec Pierce – $114 million

The next highest paid free agent is wide receiver Alec Pierce. The Indianapolis Colts offered the 25-year-old a $114 million deal, just to make sure he didn't flee for another team.

After the deal was announced, Alec shared his excitement on The Pat McAfee Show, saying: "Those opportunities started flooding in, but I knew where my heart was. I loved the city of Indianapolis. I just [saw] where we were at last year, early in the year, kind of rolling. I truly believe we were the No. 1 team in the NFL and just obviously didn't finish out the season like we should have. But I think we get back to where we were."

Odafe Oweh – $100 million

Odafe Oweh is leaving the Los Angeles Chargers for the Washington Commanders. The 27-year-old linebacker agreed to a four-year, $100 million deal with the East Coast team. His contract is one of the highest values among all defenders in the league.

Before joining the Chargers in 2025, Odafe played for the Baltimore Ravens, so he will be returning to an area of the country he is comfortable in. After the decision, Odafe shared congratulatory posts to his almost 80,000 Instagram followers.

Tyler Linderbaum – $81 million

Next on the list is three-time Pro Bowl center, Tyler Linderbaum. On Monday, March 9, the 25-year-old agreed to a three-year, $81 million deal with the Las Vegas Raiders. He had spent the first years of his professional career on the Baltimore Ravens and is now ready to play in the desert.

Celebrating with Tyler is his fiancé, Rachel Tandy. The center popped the question in December 2024, and Rachel announced the exciting news to her Instagram, writing: "I get to marry my best friend!!! Ty, you are the best human and I am the luckiest girl in the world. Can't wait to do life with you FOREVER!"

Malik Willis – $67.5 million

While he signed the sixth highest deal, Malik Willis' move is one of the most impactful in the league. The 26-year-old quarterback agreed to a three-year, $67.5 million deal with the Miami Dolphins after they released Tua Tagovailoa.

Malik will be trading the cold weather in Green Bay for the Miami heat. The football player has already embraced his new team, changing his Instagram biography to "Miami QB" with a dolphin emoji.

John Franklin-Myers – $63 million

The Tennessee Titans signed defensive end, John Franklin-Myers, in a huge move. The 29-year-old agreed to a three-year, $63 million deal, signing him from the Denver Broncos. Throughout his career, John has played for two other teams – the Los Angeles Rams and the New York Jets.

John enjoyed the big news with his wife, Rita Marques, and their two young children – Kyler and Kleo. After the deal was announced, the football player celebrated with his daughter by giving her a "lil dad manicure," sharing his work to Instagram.

Mike Evans – $60.4 million

Mike Evans is a seasoned veteran in the NFL. And as of Monday, March 9, the 32-year-old wide receiver is officially a San Francisco 49er after playing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers since 2014.

The football player agreed to a three-year deal worth up to $60.4 million and is set to move across the country with his wife and four children. Mike met his wife, Ashli Dotson, while in college in Texas.

In 2016, they tied the knots and soon grew their family. Mike and Ashli are parents to four kids – three daughters Mackenzie, 14, Ariah, 10, Aliyah, three, and one son, Amari, six.

Alontae Taylor – $60 million

Also joining the Tennessee Titans is cornerback Alontae Taylor. The 27-year-old reportedly agreed to a three-year deal worth $60 million. He joins the team from the New Orleans Saints, who he has been with since 2022.

Alontae's sister Lauryn joined in on the celebration, writing to Instagram: "I had to give it a day to let it sink in, but all in all you deserved this moment right here and the work is there." Because of the deal, the cornerback will be returning to his home state.

Boye Mafe – $60 million

Last but not least, linebacker Boye Mafe is joining the Cincinnati Bengals. He reportedly signed a three-year, $60 million deal with the Midwestern team, becoming their first $20 million per year free agent.

Boye is fresh off a Super Bowl win with his former team, the Seattle Seahawks. But the move means he will play with NFL hotshot, Joe Burrow.
