Keyonte George Injury Update: Will the Jazz Star Play vs. Knicks?

Keyonte George is among seven players listed on the Utah Jazz injury report.

In the Utah Jazz’s pursuit of back-to-back wins as they take on the New York Knicks on Wednesday night, Keyonte George is listed as questionable while he continues to battle an illness.

The 22-year-old has been the most improved player to come out of a struggling year for the franchise. In his third year as a pro, Keyonte George has broken out this season. In 53 games, the 6-foot-4, 185-pound guard has career-highs in points (23.8), assists (6.2), field-goal percentage (45.5%), and three-point percentage (37%).

The Jazz have a lot on their plate in the matchup. The No. 3 seed Knicks are looking to get back in the win column after dropping two straight games to the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Lakers. While the Jazz could be considered as a team that’s tanking for a better position in the 2026 NBA Draft with a 20-45 record.

Keyonte George (Illness) Among a List of Jazz Players on Injury Report

The official NBA injury report has seven Jazz players listed.

Keyonte George (illness) is questionable and will have a chance to suit up for a third straight game. His last appearance against the Golden State Warriors on March 9, George contributed 15 points, two rebounds, and two assists while shooting 6-15 from the field and 1-5 from three.

Lauri Markkanen is scheduled to be re-evaluated later this week after being diagnosed with a hip impingement with associated inflammation and bone bruise. The Jazz’s leader in points per game this season (26.7) hasn’t appeared in a game since Feb. 23 and will miss Wednesday’s matchup against the Knicks.

John Konchar is dealing with calf soreness and will miss the matchup against the Knicks. Blake Hinson is on a G League assignment and won’t be available for the Jazz.

Jaren Jackson Jr. (knee), Walker Kessler (shoulder), and Jusuf Nurkic (nose) are all recovering from surgeries that will continue to keep them out for the remainder of the 2025-26 season.

Knicks Injury Report

New York has a significantly smaller injury list for the East-West matchup.

Josh Hart is listed as doubtful while dealing with left knee soreness. Injuries have been a consistent factor for the Knicks’ dirty work player. If unable to suit up, it will be Hart’s 13th missed game this season.

Miles McBride underwent core muscle surgery on Feb. 6. and is labeled as out. At first, there was uncertainty that the guard would make it back for the Knicks’ postseason run. Recent reports have revealed that his recovery is going smoothly.

Dillon Jones is currently in the G League and is listed as out for the Knicks.

This matchup includes two teams that are on opposite sides of the standings this season. The 14-seed Jazz are 10.5 games out of a Play-In bid with 17 games left in the regular season. Meanwhile, the three-seed Knicks are playing for the most ideal position in the playoffs. They are six games behind the Detroit Pistons for the top seed in the East.

After tonight, Utah is scheduled for a three-game road trip to take on the Portland Trail Blazers, Sacramento Kings, and Minnesota Timberwolves.
