The Miami Dolphins have all sorts of moves happening as free agency gets rolling.
One is relatively small but still interesting -- the Dolphins have chosen to non-tender Julian Hill, according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.
Hill entered the offseason as a restricted free agent. If the Dolphins tendered him a contract, they'd be able to match any deal he's offered in free agency -- called the right of first refusal.
Instead, the Dolphins opted not to tender Hill what would've been a $3.5 million contract.
That makes Hill an unrestricted free agent, able to sign wherever he'd like.
Hill isn't flashy, but he's been reliable for the Dolphins in recent seasons.

The 6-foot-4, 251-pound TE is still just 25 years old and likely has a decent NFL future ahead of him.
He was an undrafted player out of Campbell, and in his rookie 2023 season, he played 15 games and had six catches for 48 yards.
In 2024, Hill got into 16 games and made 12 catches for 100 yards.
He hit career highs with 15 catches for 140 yards in the 2025 season in 14 games.
Hill hasn't caught an NFL touchdown, but he's known for his blocking, and he can be a useful big target when called upon.
He'll bring that skillset somewhere else for the 2026 NFL season.
