Diogo Jota's wife, Rute Cardoso is "grateful for all the love" as she shared a family update from Phuket, Thailand. Rute has three young children, two sons and one daughter, and often updates her followers on what their family life looks like.

Jota and his younger brother Andre Silva died in a car crash in Spain on July 3 2025. The Liverpool forward had been travelling with his brother in the Zamora region of Sanabria when the tragic crash happened. His brother was playing for Portuguese second division side, Penafiel at the time.

Rute has shared some family photos from a trip to Phuket, Thailand featuring two sons Dinis and Duarte and daughter, Mafalda. She shared a roundup of snaps from their time away including a beautiful selfie, snaps of her children visiting an elephant sanctuary as well as adorable photos of them playing in a pool.

One photo showed their eldest son Dinis holding Mafalda's hand while walking, while another saw her one-year-old daughter tucking into an ice-cream while sat in her pram.

Accompanying the post was the caption: "Grateful for all the love in Phuket" with a white love heart emoji."

Taking to the comments, one follower said: "So beautiful" while a second added: "Sending you a big hug."

A third said: "You deserve all this love" and a fourth wrote: "The kids are so cute. Blessings to all."

The family were in Hong Kong earlier this month and Rute revealed a touching gift that she received while in the region. In a video posted to social media, Rute could be seen flicking through a book of condolences with each page filled with messages and hand-drawn pictures in tribute to her late husband.

Alongside the drawings of the Portuguese international, one message read: "Thanks for everything Diogo, rest easy mate, in loving memory the lad from Portugal". Others referenced his shirt number and his iconic song.

Last month, Rute shared a tribute to her husband on Valentine's Day, February 14. She shared a picture alongside Jota, to the song "If I would have known" by Kyle Hume.

In December, Rute and her family returned to Anfield as Jota's former sides, Liverpool and Wolves went head-to-head.

She shared a post on Instagram to share her appreciation to the club after the couple's two sons, Dinis and Duarte, were mascots.

She said: "From the bottom of my heart, thank you to the club and to all the fans for the love, respect and support shown during this incredibly difficult time. Your messages and gestures have meant more than words can express."
