Ravens GM reveals true feelings over Maxx Crosby failure

The NFL world is still processing the Baltimore Ravens' decision not to follow through on the trade of Las Vegas Raiders pass rusher Maxx Crosby.

With Crosby failing his physical, as he is still recovering from knee surgery, many knew that there was no way he would pass a physical at this point in time due to where he is in his rehab.

But the Ravens pulled the plug, and quickly (and suspiciously) pivoted to Trey Hendrickson.

And now Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta has revealed that the situation with Maxx has left him gutted.

"Nobody's more upset about this than me," DeCosta said. "Gutted by it, actually. Big regret for me. But we will move on as a football team."

Fans not buying Ravens reason

And in truth, some sections of the media aren't either.

The contract wasn't officially signed, so walking it back isn't a big deal, but many are wondering why the Ravens moved forward with the Crosby trade, not knowing where he was in his rehab.

The whole situation is just off, and while DeCosta stated he is "gutted" by the situation, something we have to take at face value, but many aren't buying it.

Especially given how quickly they moved to Hendrickson. DeCosta did state the plan was to sign both Maxx and Trey.

The Ravens haven't come out of this looking good, and after DeCosta's comments, I don't think that's changed.
