Tempers boiled over during Chelsea's clash with Paris Saint-Germain as the sides collided after Pedro Neto sent a ballboy flying with a push as he went to retrieve the ball.
Chaos ensued as players surrounded the area where the ballboy was sent tumbling backwards during stoppage time. Neto eventually apologised for his actions as the youngster was checked over by medical staff.
Chelsea's winger looked to react quickly when the ball went out of play down the sideline. Attempting to retrieve a new one, the ballboy did not offer the ball up immediately, leading Neto to act rashly.
PSG's stars then attempted to hold off Reece James and Neto, as the likes of Marquinhos and Enzo Fernandez exchanged some pushing and shoving.
Flurries of players seemed to enjoy heated words before referee Alejandro Hernández calmed the situation and explained what would happen next to the teams' captains.
The Portuguese winger escaped punishment for his nudge, as the ballboy attempted to evade his grasp with the ball. VAR checked the action but decided against issuing a red card.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia soon delivered an altogether more painful blow. Having already scored a screamer, the Georgian produced a more measured effort just seconds after tempers had flared.

Another rapid break saw Achraf Hakimi delay his pass before pulling the ball back for the former Napoli star. Kvaratskhelia placed the ball past Filip Jorgensen with a first-time effort to claim a 5-2 victory with the final meaningful kick of the game.
Former Chelsea boss Glenn Hoddle leapt to the defence of Neto for his physical interaction. On TNT Sport he said: "Yeah, he's pushed him but he's pushed him because the ball boy isn't going to give him the ball and goes to throw the ball away.
"To defend the player it's the last minute of the game. He wants to get on with the game and the lad is trying to throw the ball away from him. He just gives him a nudge."
Following the match, Neto returned to the ballboy he had collided with, gave him his match shirt, and hugged him.
