Bucs GM Jason Licht.
The Bucs are running out of supremely talented pass rushers to sign.
Free agent edge rusher Bradley Chubb, the former first-round pick who had 8 1/2 sacks in 17 games with the Dolphins last season, will be signing a three-year, $43.5 million deal with the Bills, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. The contract includes includes $29 million in guarantees and $9 million in incentives.
That’s just about Haason Reddick money, albeit on a multi-year deal.
Joe has seen the ESPN report that the Bucs were chasing Trey Hendrickson but didn’t want to sign him to the four-year deal he got from the Ravens. Schefter had reported that 31-year-old Hendrickson, coming off surgery, wanted to play for Tampa Bay. Joe guesses the desire wasn’t significant.
Were the Bucs in the Hunt for Chubb? It doesn’t matter much now.
