The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to trade defensive lineman Osa Odighizuwa on Wednesday afternoon.
Odighizuwa, a standout defensive tackle, is being traded from Dallas to San Francisco, according to a report from NFL insider Jordan Schultz. The Cowboys and the 49ers are rare trade partners, dating back to their rivalry in the 1990s, though they've made a move on Wednesday evening.
It's unclear at this point what the Cowboys are getting back in return. The Cowboys are a bit overcrowded up front, following the trades for Kenny Clark, Quinnen Williams and now Rashan Gary.
Odighizuwa was a standout performer for the Cowboys, recording 17 sacks, 34 TFLs and 2 forced fumbles during his time in Dallas. He signed a four-year contract worth $80 million last offseason.

Neither the Cowboys nor the 49ers have publicly confirmed the trade as of 6:30 p.m. E.T. on Wednesday evening.
The Cowboys officially announced their acquisition of Packers defensive lineman Rashan Gary earlier on Wednesday.

Update: The Cowboys are getting a draft pick back
According to a report from ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Cowboys are receiving a third round NFL Draft pick in exchange for Osa.
"Trade: Cowboys are trading DT Osa Odighizuwa to the 49ers in exchange for a 2026 third-round pick," he confirmed.
NFL insider Jane Slater, who covers the Cowboys, is sad to see him go.
"Hate seeing one of my locker room favorites go. He was so incredible in the aftermath of Marshawn Kneeland's death. Carrying his flag literally every game. Ultimately in this new look defense, he was the odd man out and bringing in another guy this week who can play 4i led Cowboys to seek value from a joint capable player," she wrote.
The Cowboys will be a new-look defense in 2026.
