Depot After Dark: Ramsey Flag Football, Bradshaw Coming To Pittsburgh, Slay Hints At Retiring

A Steelers Depot daily segment. A quick hit of some Pittsburgh Steelers-related stories that may not require a complete article but nuggets worth mentioning and passing on to you guys.

Your Depot After Dark for March 11.

RAMSEY FLAG FOOTBALL

Jalen Ramsey had a solid first season with the Steelers. While he had rocky moments at corner, he was better when he transitioned to safety. There were questions about whether or not the team would keep him, but Omar Khan stated that Ramsey would stay with the Steelers. He figures to be an important part of Pittsburgh’s defense in 2026.

It’s the offseason, so Ramsey has some time to himself, but he’ll be participating in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic on March 21st, according to ESPN’s Brooke Pryor. The event will be held in Los Angeles and will air live on FOX Sports. It features several other current players and should be a fun event.

BRADSHAW COMING TO PITTSBURGH

Terry Bradshaw is one of the best players in Steelers history. While Ben Roethlisberger broke many of his passing records, Bradshaw still helped lead the Steelers to four Super Bowls. He’s also the only league MVP in the team’s history. Bradshaw’s been retired for a while, but he’s been busy in his post-playing career.

Bradshaw is scheduled to appear in Warrendale, an area in the Pittsburgh region, on April 21st to tell stories and give people a tasting of his bourbon. That’s leading up to the NFL draft, which will be held in Pittsburgh this year. Fans can buy tickets to the event, giving them a chance to see the legendary quarterback. It’s one more thing to make that week exciting for Pittsburgh.

SLAY HINTS AT RETIRING

Darius Slay was a big addition for the Steelers last offseason. They hoped that he, along with Jalen Ramsey and Joey Porter Jr., would give them their best corner group in years. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Slay clearly lost a step, and the Steelers parted ways with him during the season.

While the Buffalo Bills claimed Slay off waivers, he never played for them. He’s 35 years old, and it’s unclear if he’ll play in 2026. However, appearing on the No Free Lunch podcast recently, Slay hinted that he could be done in the NFL. He didn’t say he’s definitely retiring, but he said he’s probably done with football.
