A look at the injury news surrounding Chelsea and Newcastle United ahead of their Premier League clash.

Newcastle arrive having crashed out of the FA Cup and conceded a late leveller against Barcelona in the Champions League. The Magpies are scrapping for a Conference League spot currently. Here we round up the latest injury news surrounding both sides.

Emil Krafth - Out

Krafth is out for the season after having a knee surgery.

Bruno Guimaraes - Out

Guimaraes is going to be out until some time in April with a hamstring issue.

Fabian Schar - Out

Schar had surgery in the winter and won’t be back until some time in April.

Lewis Miley - Out

Howe said recently: “Lewis isn't there yet and will not make the next couple of games.” Miley will be another week or so.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens - Doubt

Rosenior has said: “Jamie is back. We’re working really well in terms of our injury load, and that has to continue.” There is a chance the winger can return here.

Estevao Willian - Out

Rosenior has said: “He's back on the [training] pitch, but he's not ready for this one. We need to be really, really careful, given it was a hamstring injury. He just needs to clear a few more markers before we put him back in.” It’s very likely this one will come a little too soon.

Dario Essugo - Out

Rosenior has said: “Dario is back on the training pitch as well. Hopefully, we can get all these players fit and on the pitch before the end of the season.”

Levi Colwill - Out

In his latest update, Rosenior has said: “If you look at our squad now, Levi is back in modified training.” The defender is on course to return this season.

Mykhailo Mudryk - Out (Suspended)

Mudryk is suspended. A club statement in the summer read: “We can confirm that Mykhailo Mudryk has been charged with Anti-Doping Rule Violations alleging the presence and/or use of a prohibited substance, in terms of Regulations 3 and 4 of The FA's Anti-Doping Regulations. As this is an ongoing case, we are not in a position to comment further at this time.” Mudryk is not included in the final count due to the nature of his absence.
