A look at the early injury news ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League clash with Everton.

Arsenal are back in Premier League action on Saturday after a spending the last week or so competing in the Champions League and FA Cup. The Gunners have a seven-point lead at the top having played a game more, and they will be looking to protect that lead here.

As for Everton, they have had a couple of weeks off to refresh, and they are chasing a European spot, currently one point off seven points. Here we round up all the latest injury news surrounding both sides ahead of this one.

Jack Grealish - Out

Grealish is out for the season with an ankle injury. He said in a recent statement: “Didn’t want the season to end like this, but that’s football, gutted. Surgery done and now all focus on getting back fit. I know for sure I will come back fitter, stronger and better than before.”

Charly Alcaraz - Out

Alcaraz is out for a couple of weeks. Moyes has said: “Charly has got an injury which is probably going to keep him out for three or four weeks, we think. He picked it up in the last minute of training on Sunday, so he was a bit unfortunate because he would have probably started on Monday night.”

Seamus Coleman - Doubt

Coleman could return here. Moyes said at the very start of the month: “Seamus picked up a little bit of a nick, nothing serious, on Friday. So he missed out at the weekend... he won't be available for this game, but we're hoping he's not going to be too long.”

Mikel Merino - Out

Merino is likely going to miss the rest of the season after a foot fracture. Arteta said after the Spaniard’s surgery: “Well, I think the doctors were really happy the way it went. Yeah, now it starts. Obviously, it's a long process. You're talking about bone healing, so you need to be patient. You respect the timings, and I'm sure Mikel is going to do everything that he possibly can to speed up the process. We're talking about months, whether it's three, four or five, we don't know.”

Martin Odegaard - Doubt

Odegaard has missed the last couple and was not risked against Mansfield or Leverkusen and will remain a doubt here, though he should be close.

Ben White - Fit

White returned to the bench for the Leverkusen game and will be fit to play here.

Trossard was close for the Leverkusen game but ultimately missed out. He will be a doubt for this one until confirmed otherwise.
