Liverpool have three first-team players who have contracts expiring in 2026, with eight more whose deals run out at the end of next season.
Liverpool’s contract expiries: A quick look
• 2026 concerns: Ibrahima Konate and Andy Robertson face uncertain futures, with Robertson reportedly a “certainty” to leave this summer.
• 2027 landmarks: Legends Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk have deals expiring in 2027, though Salah may depart even sooner.
• Squad depth: While Ryan Gravenberch is tied down until 2032, Curtis Jones faces a tough decision this summer.
With Ryan Gravenberch having recently put pen to paper on a new contract that could keep him at Liverpool until 2032, attention has turned to who will be next to sign.
The Reds could do with nailing down two key contracts ahead of the summer, with much more work to do in the following months to ensure the squad is future-proofed beyond next season.

Where are Liverpool up to in contract negotiations?
Ibrahima Konate and **Andy Robertson**‘s contracts will be the main source of worry for supporters, with Liverpool seemingly not making progress on either front ahead of their contract expirations in the summer.
Despite still performing to a good level, the Scotland captain has started just five Premier League games this season and wants to keep playing football.
Merseyside reporter David Lynch told Anfield Index that he thinks it is “a certainty that he will go now” after nine years at the club.

Meanwhile, Konate‘s situation is less cut and dry.
The 26-year-old had a poor start to the campaign but has improved somewhat since returning after the death of his father in January.
Rumoured interest from Real Madrid has subsided and the Athletic reported that Liverpool are still hopeful of reaching an agreement with the Frenchman.
**Alisson**‘s contract is also set to expire in 2026, but there is an option to extend for a further year.

Looking ahead to 2027, Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk‘s lucrative contracts will again be expiring.
Though they appear to have made up, Salah‘s public disagreement with Slot and his enormous drop-off in performances make a departure in 2026 the most likely outcome.
Van Dijk, however, should see out the remainder of his contract and could extend again, but he would probably need to take a pay cut to do so.
Gomez‘s deal is also up at the end of next season and is future will very much depend on who else remains at the club.
If there is a dearth of defenders, Liverpool could keep him, but should Konate and Van Dijk stay alongside Jeremy Jacquet and Giovanni Leoni, the long-standing servant would likely leave after 12 years at the club.

There are four other players whose contracts expire in 2027: Stefan Bajcetic, Wataru Endo, Kostas Tsimikas and Curtis Jones.
While Bajcetic remains sidelined through injury, he surely won’t be offered a new deal. His best hope now is that a new coach comes in and likes him in training once he has recovered.
Endo and Tsimikas will be 34 and 31 years old, respectively, so they should leave, while Jones‘ future remains unclear.
This Is Anfield understands the midfielder was keen on a move to Inter in January but remained on Merseyside. His fortunes could change should there be a managerial switch, but at the moment Slot isn’t picking him and at 25 years old, the Scouser wants regular starts.
