Everton’s front-of-shirt sponsorship is a “better value” than Chelsea following the latest deal at Stamford Bridge.

That is according to former Manchester City financial adviser Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider David Moyes’s side can keep their momentum up with a new shirt deal.

The Merseyside giants are currently sponsored by Stake, but the gambling firm’s £10million-a-year deal is set to expire at the end of this season.

The i Paper reported on 27 February the Toffees are in advanced talks with major brands willing to pay a record fee, with a deal believed to be close.

An improved deal would provide Everton’s financial situation with a welcome boost as they look to increase their revenues at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

How much Everton shirt sponsor deal could be worth

Football Insider revealed on 3 March Everton are looking for £15m a year for their front-of-shirt sponsorship.

That is the same price Chelsea are reportedly receiving from their new shirt deal with IFS despite the agreement only running from February until the end of this season.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson discussed how much Everton could receive from a new front-of-shirt partner next season.

“Well, I mean, it just highlights how it’s very unlikely Chelsea are getting £15m because I think you could get Everton for a full season for £15m,” said Borson.

“So, what would be better? I don’t know. You tell me. I would say that a conventional £15m-a-year sponsorship for Everton would be better value for a brand than a stub period at Chelsea at the end of the season where you’ve got relatively low coverage, no replica and only four or five home games.

“I think Everton are showing decent momentum right now on and off the field. They’ll obviously try and keep that up with this latest front of shirt as they kind of recover from the Moshiri era.”

How much revenue do Everton generate?

Everton’s latest published accounts for 2023-24 revealed their revenue stood at £187m.

However, Deloitte’s 2026 Money League showed that figure improved to £197m last season – the final campaign at Goodison Park.

It is yet to be confirmed precisely how much commercial income the club generated in 2024-25, but the figure stood at £39m in the previous year.

Moyes’s side currently sit eighth in the Premier League table as they go in pursuit of European qualification this season.
