Liam Rosenior’s response after being told his Chelsea team was leaked before PSG defeat

Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has many reasons not to be happy following his side’s 5-2 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Filip Jorgensen made a costly error in goal, while the team’s whole backline was unconvincing.

As well as that, Chelsea’s line-up was also leaked hours before kick-off.

Liam Rosenior plans to find out who leaked Chelsea team

Rosenior was asked about the leak in his post-match press conference at the Parc des Princes.

In response, he told Kieran Gill and other reporters: “I wasn’t aware. I’m sure we’ll get to the bottom of that if that’s the case.”

Unsurprisingly, though, the main talking point from the game has been Jorgensen, who has started two of Chelsea’s last three matches.

The 23-year-old has come in for Robert Sanchez after the Spaniard’s own nightmare performance against Arsenal in the Premier League.

However, after impressing in the 4-1 win over Aston Villa, Jorgensen may have now blown his chance to remain Chelsea’s No.1.

Former Chelsea winger Joe Cole actually felt that Jorgensen played well overall, but all the good work he did was undone by his sloppy pass.

Team leak not why Chelsea lost

Chelsea’s team selection leaking probably did not help matters. But in the end, Jorgensen’s mistake and some of Rosenior’s tactics and substitutions were what cost the Blues.

What should Liam Rosenior’s next move be?🤔

The score was 2-2 before Jorgensen’s error, while PSG only had a one-goal advantage when Rosenior decided to take off Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro.

Palmer and Pedro are Chelsea’s two best attacking players. The Club World Cup winners lost all of their attacking threat when they came off.

Questions also have to be asked about Chelsea’s defending and how often PSG were allowed to counter-attack against them.

Ousmane Dembele’s strike came straight after a Palmer shot at Matvey Safonov’s goal. There was not a single midfielder in sight and only a couple of defenders present to try to deal with the situation. Rosenior and Jorgensen definitely have to receive low marks following Chelsea’s loss in Paris.
