Maxx Crosby sends strongly worded message to Raiders after failed trade

This has to have been a weird week for Maxx Crosby.

About a week ago, he was still a player for the Las Vegas Raiders. Then he got traded, seemingly, to the Baltimore Ravens, and for a few day, that was the new normal. But that deal never officially went through, and now he's back with the Raiders.

The rumors have been fast and furious since the trade fell through.

There have been concerns about Crosby's health.

There has been speculation that he'll still get traded again, just elsewhere.

Now, we know what Crosby is thinking.

He posted a strongly worded message on X overnight Wednesday into Thursday, and Raiders fans have to feel good about it:

"Everything Happens For A Reason," Crosby began. "Believe Nothing You Hear & Half Of What You See. I'm A Raider. I'm Back. Run That S---."

Crosby concluded the message with a bald eagle emoji, a pirate emoji and a GIF of The Undertaker walking out of a flaming casket.

Could things change again? Probably. But at least for now, Crosby appears to be embracing his second life with the Raiders.

Vegas may be best served just rolling with it, too. They've made a ton of solid free agent signings and still have room for Crosby's salary. They've also still got the exciting No. 1 overall pick to come, assumed to be QB Fernando Mendoza for Indiana.

If all goes well, the Raiders could be competitive sooner rather than later. Maybe it'll work out to have Crosby back and not in Baltimore after all.
