CM: Another opportunity from Chelsea – Milan keen on striker as Bayern make €65m call

AC Milan are looking for the right striker ahead of the summer and, as it so often has, the solution could arrive from Chelsea.

As Calciomercat.com report, the striker market will dominate next summer in Italy and among Europe’s top clubs. Many players will move and change clubs after the World Cup, and Nicolas Jackson will once again be among them.

According to Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto, the Senegalese striker will leave Bayern Munich and return to Chelsea, who will put him back on the market. Serie A sides will be lining up to secure him, with three clubs already in pole position.

Despite 24 appearances, seven goals and three assists under Vincent Kompany, and despite the €16m summer loan fee, the Bavarian club have already decided not to exercise the option to buy Jackson, which was set at a whopping €65m.

He will therefore return to Chelsea, but once again he will only be in London for a short time. The Blues will immediately put him up for sale but the formula remains to be seen, as well as if the London club will contribute to any of his €7.5m net per year salary.

As mentioned, the former Villarreal man is admired in Italy, and it wouldn’t be the first time a Serie A club has tried to acquire him. He’s been a target of Milan several times and has been linked again recently, while Juventus and Napoli have been in talks before too.

Jackson wouldn’t say no to Italy. His agent, Ali Barat, recently confirmed this in an interview with Fabrizio Romano, reiterating that Serie A would be a welcome destination for his client. So, Milan and Chelsea could sit at the negotiating table again.
