Alisson‘s future as Liverpool’s No. 1 has come into question amid interest from Juventus, but a summer transfer for the Brazilian has now been ruled out.
Alisson‘s Liverpool Contract: Wages, Clause & Expiry Date
Wages £200,000 a Week
Expires June 30, 2026
Clauses 1-Year Club Option (to 2027)
Last Extension: Aug 2021
Now: March 2026
Expires: June 2027*
Alisson is currently in the final 15 months of his effective terms.
While Alisson‘s current contract expires at the end of the season, Liverpool hold an option to extend that deal to June 30, 2027.
That clause is expected to be triggered to ensure the 33-year-old is not playing out his final campaign at Anfield, but the uncertainty has sparked interest from Italy.
Juventus are chief among those linked to a player who joined Liverpool after two years with AS Roma, having played there under now-Juventus manager Luciano Spalletti.
But according to transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano, Alisson intends to stay until at least 2027.
“The message from Alisson‘s camp is that the player really wants to continue at Liverpool,” Romano explained on YouTube.
“He really wants to fulfil his contract at Liverpool, one more season, until June 2027 and then eventually consider his future.
“Then we have to see at the end of the season – when there will be a season review on the players, on the manager and all the people involved at the club – what kind of decision will be made on the goalkeeper.
“Juventus and Inter are looking for a goalkeeper, and so Alisson could be an interesting option. In that case it depends on the club.
“But at the moment the desire of Alisson is clear: to continue at Liverpool.”

While like almost every Liverpool player Alisson‘s form has been hit-and-miss this season, he remains one of the best and most accomplished goalkeepers in world football.
The biggest red flag, however, comes with his injury record – which is certainly timely as the veteran missed Tuesday’s 1-0 loss to Galatasaray with a minor issue and is not yet confirmed as available for Tottenham on Sunday.
Giorgi Mamardashvili filled in against Galatasaray and, despite conceding early on through Mario Lemina’s header, produced an impressive display in an otherwise struggling side.
When will Giorgi Mamardashvili take over from Alisson?

The Georgian, 25, arrived on Merseyside last summer knowing that he would be No. 2 behind Alisson, but with a view to becoming first-choice goalkeeper in the future.
“If I don’t play, I don’t mind. I have to work hard every day and that’s it,” he said on the latest episode of The Reds Roundtable.
“My time will come for sure. Maybe not this year but my time will come.”
Mamardashvili was signed from Valencia for £29 million and his contract runs to June 30, 2030.
