It's been two weeks since Boston Celtics guard Baylor Scheierman fractured his left/shooting thumb against the Brooklyn Nets on Feb. 27. And yet, it hasn't slowed him down at all.
In fact, Scheierman's been even better since the injury. Over his last six games, he's averaging 9.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 28.5 minutes per game despite losing his starting role and some minutes to Jayson Tatum.
His shooting has also been incredible, as he's managed 54/43/100 shooting splits during that time.
His Celtics teammates appreciate his toughness and willingness to battle through such a painful injury at this stage of the season, including Derrick White.

"He's struggling to put his socks on, but he's going out there and doing a lot of good things for us," White said on this week's episode of the "White Noise" podcast.
White has only missed two games this season, so he knows what it like to play through things and keep suiting up when you're less than 100 percent.
This has been Scheierman's breakout year, so it's not surprising that he's been unwilling to miss any time. He doesn't want to risk losing his hard-earned minutes, especially with the playoffs just around the corner.
His sophomore season breakout is a big reason why Boston has exceeded expectations this year. He's emerged as an elite shooter and surprisingly good rebounder, averaging 46/39/89 shooting splits through 60 games.
