The Buccaneers have signed A'Shawn Robinson in free agency

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have made a notable addition to their defense through free agency.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Buccaneers have signed defensive lineman A’Shawn Robinson to a one-year, $10 million contract for the 2026 season. In addition, Rapoport shared that Robinson was due to make $8.5 million with the Carolina Panthers before being released by the club.

Robinson appeared in 17 games this past season with the Panthers, where he recorded 2.5 sacks and 65 tackles. This was after he had 5.5 sacks and 80 tackles during his first season with Carolina in 2024.

Robinson will now provide the Buccaneers’ defense with a solid veteran with plenty of experience. In 143 career NFL games over 10 seasons split between the Detroit Lions, Los Angeles Rams, New York Giants, and Panthers, he has 500 tackles and 15.0 sacks.
