The Cleveland Browns and punter Corey Bojorquez have agreed to a deal that keeps him in Northeast Ohio. Bojorquez broke his own news, posting it on Instagram with a photo of him and teammates long snapper Rex Sunahara and kicker Andre Szmyt.

The Browns are set to have all three back on the team for 2026. For Bojorquez, this will be his fifth season with the Browns and ninth in the NFL. The 29-year old punter with a boom stick for a leg has two career punts over 80 yards for his career. This past season was his worst in terms of net punting average at just 37 yards, though much of that can be attributed to the Browns having several breakdowns from their coverage unit that netted huge returns, including a couple touchdowns. He also had two punts blocked.
The Browns are looking for a major bounce back from their special teams in general under the guidance of new coordinator Byron Storer.
Bojorquez would also like to do much less punting. He's set career highs in number of punts each of the past three seasons. 87 in 2023, 89 in 2024 and 91 this past season. However, that does illustrate the importance of the position for the Browns in an offseason where teams have been aggressive in addressing the position.
