Leeds United, Sunderland and Everton run rule over eight-goal EFL star - report

Leeds United are reportedly among the clubs who have had a look at Millwall star Femi Azeez.

After cutting his teeth in non-league football, Azeez established himself on the EFL scene with Reading.

He made the switch to Millwall in 2024 and is now considered among the most exciting attacking outlets in the Championship.

Predominantly playing out wide, Azeez has weighed in with eight goals and seven assists across 26 league appearances this term.

Millwall’s Femi Azeez ‘watched’

According to TEAMtalk, his exploits have not gone unnoticed. Leeds are among the clubs said to have had their scouting department watch Azeez, who is the younger brother of Morecambe midfielder Miguel.

Leeds saw his talents up close last season, when the wideman bagged a brace as Millwall knocked the Whites out of the FA Cup.

Everton, Fulham, Sunderland, Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford are also thought to have looked at Azeez, while the most concrete interest is believed to have come from Crystal Palace.

The Eagles are thought to be on the lookout for players capable of adding pace and creativity out wide.

A move to the Premier League would be a step up for the winger, although a number of players have successfully made the transition over the years.

Interesting summer ahead at Leeds United

It will certainly be an interesting summer at Elland Road and the business conducted by the club will be dependent on their fate this term.

The retention of Premier League status will open the gate for more investment, while relegation will most likely lead to a firesale of talent.
