Atlanta Falcons sign kicker Nick Folk

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons have officially signed free agent kicker Nick Folk.

The 41-year-old veteran has played in the NFL for 18 seasons and has scored the 16th-most points in league history. Folk was most recently with the New York Jets in 2025 and made 96.6% of his field goal attempts, which was the best rate in the NFL.

Folk has led the league in field goal percentage each of the last three seasons and has converted at least 95% of his attempts during that time. He has also made 18 kicks from at least 50 yards during the last three seasons, which are the most of any three-year period in his career.

The former Pro Bowler has converted 85 percent of his field goal attempts and 96.9% of his extra-point attempts in his career. His longest made field goal is 58 yards.

After starting three different kickers during the 2025 season, the Falcons are looking for more special teams stability under new coordinator Craig Aukerman. Folk worked with Aukerman during the 2024 season while the pair were with the Tennessee Titans; he made 95.5% of his field goal attempts and was perfect on extra points.

The NFL's new league year began Wednesday at 4 p.m., meaning teams can now officially sign free agents and finalize trades.
