Atlanta Falcons sign LB Christian Harris

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons have officially signed linebacker Christian Harris.

Harris has spent the last four seasons with the Houston Texans, who drafted him in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Over the four years of his rookie deal, Harris started 27 games and accumulated four sacks and 206 total tackles (14 for a loss). He hit the quarterback seven times, forced two fumbles and had one interception.

His most notable moment in the league came in the Wild Card Round of the 2023 postseason when the Texans faced the Cleveland Browns in January 2024. Harris intercepted quarterback Joe Flacco and returned it 36 yards for a touchdown. On the very next drive, Harris sacked Flacco on fourth down. He became the first player to notch a sack and pick-six in a playoff game since J.J. Watt did so in the 2011 Wild Card Round against Andy Dalton and the Cincinnati Bengals.

"Christian is one of the fastest linebackers that I've had a chance to work with," [DeMeco Ryans said of Harris in 2024.](https://www.si.com/college/alabama/bamanfl/skys-the-limit-houston-texans-head-coach-demeco-ryans-praises-christian-harris-at-nfl-scouting-combine?utm_source=chatgpt.com) "Very explosive, instinctive player."
