Jurgen Klopp's future with Red Bull is reportedly under discussion amidst speculation of a potential return to management. The former Liverpool boss has been Red Bull's global head of football since January last year, after leaving Anfield at the conclusion of the 2023/24 season.
Klopp assists in overseeing Red Bull's entire football network, which encompasses RB Leipzig in Germany, Red Bull Salzburg in Austria and the New York Red Bulls in the United States, among others. Since leaving Liverpool, there has been abundant speculation that Klopp could make a return to management, either with a club or an international team, particularly the Germany national side.
Now, there's a new update on Klopp's future, this time from Red Bull's viewpoint. A report in German publication Sport Bild suggests that discussions have taken place regarding Klopp's future within the group.
The report claims that these talks have focused on the possibility of Klopp assuming control of the Germany national team in the near future.
However, it's been noted that despite ongoing rumours, Klopp's return to club management isn't anticipated. Bild also reports that Red Bull regard it as an open secret that the group are not entirely satisfied with Klopp's current work.
Klopp has been strongly linked with a return to club management for some time, with speculation suggesting a potential move to the likes of Real Madrid, who are facing long-term uncertainty in the dugout.

However, Klopp's agent, Marc Kosicke, recently made it clear that the former Liverpool manager is expected to stay at Red Bull.
"Jurgen Klopp is very happy with his current role at Red Bull, and what is being said about negotiations to coach Real Madrid are just rumours for now," Kosicke told 365Scores in a statement last week.
Speculation that Klopp could become Germany manager in the future has not subsided, either, with suggestions that the former Liverpool boss could replace Julian Nagelsmann either side of this summer's World Cup.
"There's no need to answer questions about things that are just rumours," Kosicke said. "Nobody has contacted us at this time."
Klopp has already made his position clear regarding a potential return to club management, and why he remains satisfied in his current position with Red Bull.
“I’m in a place, as a person, where I’m completely at peace with where I am. I don’t want to be somewhere else,” Klopp told AFP in January. “I don’t get up and excited if Real Madrid are showing interest. If they would be, but it’s the media.
“Do I want to coach again? At the moment, I would say no, but I cannot say never, never, never. I don’t expect to change my mind, but I don’t know.”
