James Tarkowski says one aspect of Hill Dickinson Stadium is 'night and day' compared to…

It’s been a season of change for Everton, as they settle into their new Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Everton have struggled at home, as they haven’t been able to make it a fortress like Goodison Park.

Which do you prefer? 😬

Supporters have stated they miss Goodison, with some noting that the new ground doesn’t feel like home just yet.

That said, James Tarkowski has recently been speaking about the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and he explained that there is one key upgrade that will certainly help the players.

James Tarkowski explains Everton players can prepare better for games at Hill Dickinson Stadium

Speaking to Toffee TV, Tarkowski explained that the new ground is so much better for pre-game preparation and post-match recovery.

“The biggest difference is the Goodison dressing room was tiny,” the 33-year-old stated.

“Yeah, we were all sort of stuck in there any space to warm up and get ready. Whereas now we’ve got so much space, we got areas to warm up, big physio room, big hydro pool.

“So the facilities are obviously night and day.”

Everton should be better equipped to prevent injuries going forward, as players can use the recovery facilities straight after the games.

At Goodison, it wasn’t as simple as that, certainly not as modern anyway.

Iliman Ndiaye, speaking earlier this year, said he prefers the new stadium, as he feels like he has more energy on the pitch with the increased attendance.

“It’s new, it’s modern and it has everything,” Ndiaye said.

“We get more fans inside and it definitely gives you more energy for your performance as a player. I’ve felt it. You properly feel it, especially when it gets going. That’s what you want.”

Bournemouth star Ryan Christie branded the Hill Dickinson as ‘hostile’ when he played there earlier this season, so clearly it has still retained a similar atmosphere to Goodison.

It’ll just take some time to adjust for everyone.
