Jurgen Klopp’s future with Red Bull is reportedly being discussed amid rumours of a potential return to management. The former Liverpool boss has been Red Bull’s global head of soccer since January last year, having left Anfield at the end of the 2023/24 season.

Klopp helps oversee Red Bull’s entire football network, which includes RB Leipzig in Germany, Red Bull Salzburg in Austria and the New York Red Bulls in the United States, along with several others. Ever since leaving Liverpool, there have been plenty of rumours that Klopp could return to management, either with a club or an international team, particularly the Germany national side.

Now, there has been a fresh update on Klopp’s future, this time from Red Bull’s perspective. A report in German news outlet Sport Bild has claimed there have been discussions held about Klopp’s future with the group.

The report claims that the talks have been centred around the possibility of Klopp taking the Germany national team in the near future.

It has been stated, though, that Klopp's return to club management is not expected to happen despite the ongoing speculation.

Bild also claim that Red Bull consider it an open secret that the group are not entirely happy with Klopp’s current work.

Klopp has been heavily linked with a return to club management for some time, with rumours that a move could happen to the likes of Real Madrid, who face long-term uncertainty in the dugout.

However, Klopp’s agent, Marc Kosicke, recently made it clear that the former Liverpool boss is expected to remain at Red Bull.

"Jurgen Klopp is very happy with his current role at Red Bull, and what is being said about negotiations to coach Real Madrid are just rumours for now," Kosicke told 365Scores in a statement last week.

The rumours that Klopp could become Germany boss in the future have not gone away, either, with suggestions that the former Liverpool boss could replace Julian Nagelsmann either side of this summer’s World Cup.

"There's no need to answer questions about things that are just rumours," Kosicke said. "Nobody has contacted us at this time."

Klopp has already made his feelings about a potential return to club management clear, and why he is content to remain in his current role with Red Bull.

“I’m in a place, as a person, where I’m completely at peace with where I am. I don’t want to be somewhere else,” Klopp told AFP in January. “I don’t get up and excited if Real Madrid are showing interest. If they would be, but it’s the media.

“Do I want to coach again? At the moment, I would say no, but I cannot say never, never, never. I don’t expect to change my mind, but I don’t know.”
