Newcastle United supporters believe Lamine Yamal should already be out of contention for the reverse leg next week.
Lamine Yamal reportedly did not train for Barcelona this morning after feeling “discomfort” following Tuesday’s 1-1 draw.
Newcastle United kept the wonderkid quiet until the 95th minute when the Catalans were awarded a stoppage-time penalty. Yamal made no mistake from the spot to snatch an unlikely point for Barca.
The 18-year-old - tipped as a future Ballon d’Or winner - was billed as the key danger man ahead of the Champions League clash. However, Lewis Hall’s disciplined display restricted Yamal to a mere observer at St James’ Park.

Newcastle United fury at Lamine Yamal
Toon fans were incensed when Yamal made no attempt to play the ball to wipe out Hall in the first half. Referee Marco Guida decided against brandishing the Barcelona prodigy a yellow card.

Had Lamal been booked, he would have been suspended for the second leg at the Camp Nou. Perhaps a potential injury blow would deal a sense of justice for the Magpies as they aim for their biggest European win in history.
Spanish injury reports
Spanish outlet Sport claim Yamal was absent from training earlier today. He is understood to be feeling “discomfort” following the 1-1 draw at St James' Park.
All eyes will be on Barcelona training tomorrow as Hansi Flick’s men prepare to face Sevilla. The German rested several big hitters last week for Blaugrana’s victory over Athletic Club.
Yamal missed September’s clash between the two clubs with a groin injury. Any blow to the winger - valued at £200million - would be considered a huge boost for Newcastle.

Eddie Howe’s words after Barcelona draw
"I think it is soft but Malick (Thiaw) makes contact,”Eddie Howe said about the late penalty. "We had our shape, there's no way we should concede that goal. We will look at it but I don't want it to override the 93 minutes before that in which we were quality.
"I thought we had enough to score before we did. The game showed we are capable but we know we probably have to give more going to their stadium. We are capable of doing it but we will need to be at our very best.
"It is my job to try and pick them up. We have unfortunately had to do that a few times this season but our strength of character should never be in doubt. We will be ready by the time the next game comes round. We believe in ourselves and our capability and we have shown that today."
