Arsenal supporters have reacted with a mixture of excitement, scepticism and humour after former Premier League striker Keinan Davis suggested that Chelsea forward João Pedro could one day end up at Arsenal.
Davis sparked discussion among fans after praising the Brazilian attacker and claiming he “wouldn’t be surprised” if Pedro eventually played for the north London club. The comments quickly circulated online, prompting thousands of responses from supporters across social media platforms.
Pedro, currently playing for CHELSEA, has attracted attention this season for his versatility in attack. The 23-year-old is capable of operating as a central striker, second forward or drifting into wide areas, and his technical style has led some fans to speculate that he could suit the fluid system deployed by Mikel Arteta.
While Davis’s remarks were largely speculative, they were enough to ignite debate among the ARSENAL fanbase. Some supporters welcomed the idea of Pedro joining the club in the future, pointing to his creativity and ability to link play in advanced areas. One fan wrote on X: “João Pedro at Arsenal would actually make sense. He’s technical, presses well and can play multiple positions.”
Another supporter posted: “If Arteta gets hold of a player like João Pedro, he could become something special.”
Others, however, were less convinced by the suggestion, with several fans questioning whether Arsenal would realistically sign a player from their London rivals.
“Chelsea selling to Arsenal? Not happening,” one user commented, while another added: “He’s a good player but we already have quality forwards. Not sure he improves the squad.”
A third group of supporters reacted more light-heartedly, joking about the ongoing speculation that often links Arsenal with a wide range of attacking targets during transfer discussions.
“Every decent attacker in the league gets linked to Arsenal eventually,” one fan joked. “Now it’s João Pedro’s turn.”
Despite the online chatter, there is currently no indication that ARSENAL are pursuing a move for the Brazilian. Pedro remains under contract at CHELSEA and is considered part of the club’s long-term attacking plans.
Nevertheless, Davis’s comments have highlighted the growing reputation of the young forward. As Pedro continues to develop in the Premier League, speculation about his future is unlikely to disappear anytime soon.
