The wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes responded on social media after cornerback Trent McDuffie’s move to the Los Angeles Rams was announced. The transition marked the end of McDuffie’s time in Kansas City, where he began his NFL career.

McDuffie’s girlfriend, Gabby Esposito, shared an emotional post on Instagram after the move that will send McDuffie to Los Angeles.

In the message, Esposito reflected on the memories she and McDuffie built during their time in Kansas City. She also thanked the Chiefs organization for drafting McDuffie, which she said ultimately led to the couple meeting.

Esposito wrote that leaving Kansas City was difficult because of the friendships and community they had built while living there. She also said they are looking forward to starting a new chapter in Los Angeles.

Soon after the post appeared online, Brittany commented with a message showing support for the couple.

“You guys will be missed! 😭😭😭,” Brittany wrote.

The response quickly drew attention from fans who follow the Mahomes family and the Chiefs organization.

Trent McDuffie’s Chiefs Career and Defensive Impact

McDuffie began his NFL career with Kansas City after the team selected him in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

The Chiefs traded up to select McDuffie with the No. 21 overall pick. Since entering the league, he developed into a key member of the team’s secondary.

During his career with Kansas City, McDuffie appeared in 56 games and recorded 246 total tackles. His defensive production also included three interceptions, 34 pass breakups, and 5.5 sacks.

The 25-year-old cornerback earned first-team All-Pro honors in 2023 for his performance on the Chiefs’ defense.

In the 2025 season, McDuffie recorded 45 solo tackles, one forced

fumble, one interception, and seven passes defended.

According to NFL Next Gen Stats, McDuffie allowed roughly 6.0 yards per target over the last two seasons, placing him among the most efficient defensive backs in the league.

The mother of three posted a series of photos to her Instagram Story showing Bronze copying his father’s style.

In the first image, Patrick posed while wearing a brown cowboy hat. Brittany captioned the image simply, “dad.”

The next slide showed Bronze wearing a smaller cowboy hat and mimicking his father’s stance.

“Son,” Brittany wrote alongside the photo, adding laughing emojis. “Trying to be like his daddy always.”

Brittany continued sharing more images from the moment, including additional photos of Bronze attempting to match Patrick’s serious expression.
