Liverpool look likely to target new wingers this summer, with fans getting frustrated at watching the same, one-dimensional performances from Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah.
Gakpo and Salah have been the focus of much frustration, with neither player able to provide the pace and explosiveness the Reds are severely lacking.
Thankfully, journalists David Ornstein and Fabrizio Romano have confirmed that Liverpool hope to make a winger signing at the end of the campaign, and although supporters will be hoping for a big-name addition such as Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise, Rousing The Kop think the Reds might be better off targeting an up and coming, under the radar attacker instead.

With that in mind, here are five options, one from each of Europe’s top five leagues, who Liverpool could have their eyes on this summer.
Premier League: Crysencio Summerville
When Liverpool revamped their wingers in 2016 and 2017, they did so by signing two players who were not exactly playing right at the top of their sport. Salah was doing well at Roma, but was far from the superstar he would soon become, while Sadio Mane was yet to prove himself at the top level either.
The 2026 version of Mane could be Crysencio Summerville, who has been making headlines in recent months with struggling West Ham United.
Just as Mane did with Southampton, Summerville has been scoring goals with the Hammers, hitting five in five games across January and February, with two more since taking his season total to seven.

Still only 24, Summerville impressed at Anfield in February, and appeared to have the ingenuity, speed and technical ability that has been sorely missing at Liverpool this season. If West Ham lose their Premier League status, he should be very much in the conversation this summer.

La Liga: Alberto Moleiro
It has not been often that Liverpool have looked towards La Liga for new signings in recent times, although they did sign Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia in 2024.
Two years later, they would be wise to look carefully just 35 miles down the road and to Villarreal, where Alberto Moleiro is beginning to really shine.
An extremely gifted technician, Moleiro has nine goals and four assists for the Yellow Submarine this season.
Usually operating on the left side, the 22-year-old is comfortable playing more centrally too, and is as much at home taking on his full-back as he is threading perfect through balls into players further up the pitch. A genuinely exciting player to watch, Moleiro has gone up a level after joining from Las Palmas last summer.

Ligue 1: Matias Fernandez-Prato
Ligue 1 is always a terrific breeding ground for top attacking talent, and in Matias Fernandez-Prato, Lille appear to have found themselves another gem.
Liverpool were linked with Fernandez-Prato before he left Real Betis for Les Dogues in 2024, and although his return of four goals and four assists in 30 appearances is not especially eye-catching, he would offer the pace and fearless approach which Reds fans are desperate to see once again.
A right-footed left sided forward, the 21-year-old would offer far more speed than Gakpo, for example, while still having his best years well ahead of him.
Equally capable of finishing from range or in one-vs-one scenarios, Fernandez-Prato has the look of a player who will go to the next level in the coming years. It could be at Liverpool.
Bundesliga: Mohamed Amoura
At 25, Mohamed Amoura is easily the oldest player on this particular list, but that does not mean he should be overlooked by Liverpool.
Salah was turning the same age when he joined the Reds in 2017, and although there is no suggestion that Amoura could repeat the Egyptian’s feats at Anfield, he would be an interesting addition.

The Algerian impressed while playing against Liverpool for Union Saint Gilloise in 2024, and has carried that form into his career at Wolfsburg, where he has scored 18 goals across the last season-and-three-quarters.
Primarily a left winger, Amoura wears No. 9 for Wolfsburg, which hints at his goal-scoring instincts. Having hit 20 goals for USG in a single season in Belgium, he knows how to find the back of the net.
Serie A: Chico Conceicao
Perhaps a little higher profile than some of the other names here, Chico Conceicao would still be a slightly more obscure target for Liverpool this summer.
The 23-year-old has not exactly been prolific since joining Juventus in 2024, scoring 11 times and providing six assists in 72 appearances, but he is a young player who is very much capable of the spectacular.
A genuinely world-class dribbler with speed, composure and remarkable strength for his stature, Conceicao is somewhat reminiscent of pre-Liverpool Salah.
Left-footed and lethal when cutting in from the right wing, the Portuguese would be a very smart addition if the Reds want to directly replace their legendary Egyptian.
