Liverpool are selling tickets for the away end after Galatasaray’s ban was seemingly upheld, while the club’s stance on Arne Slot‘s future reportedly remains unchanged.
Galatasaray fans banned for Anfield decider
It was known prior to the first leg of the Champions League last 16 tie that Galatasaray were set to have no away fans for the second leg next week.
This was due to violent scenes around their playoff clash at Juventus, with UEFA imposing charges for throwing of objects, lighting of fireworks and crowd disturbances.
The Turkish side lodged an appeal, but it appears to have been rejected by the governing body as Liverpool have advertised the sale of extra seats that away supporters usually occupy.

The club’s help account on X stated: “Following UEFA’s decision that away supporters will not be permitted to attend the Galatasaray fixture at Anfield, seats within the visitors’ section will be released for sale to home supporters.”
Those further ticket sales are scheduled for Friday, Monday and Tuesday. If every ticket is sold and occupied, that will be 61,000 Reds in attendance – a rarity, as long as some don’t land in the hands of Galatasaray supporters!
LFC News: Arne Slot retains club backing and Ibrahima Koante contract latest

• Liverpool are described as “steadfastly behind” Arne Slot despite performances and results this season, as he’s the “exact profile” they’d be looking for. Not sure everyone will agree with that
• **Ibrahima Konate**‘s contract remains unresolved, but talks are ongoing and “constructive,” with will on both sides to “try and find an agreement.” One way or another, we need a decision
• Since becoming a father, Alexis Mac Allister has realised his priorities and plans for the future have changed, saying he’d look to eventually move back to Argentina. There’s a jibe at his performances to be made there…
• Tickets for Liverpool’s three-stop tour of the US this pre-season are now on sale and supporters wishing to go will have to dig deep into their pockets. Crazy how they can charge over £80!
• There is concern the Premier League could lose their fifth Champions League spot, but it’s been described as “very hard to throw it away” despite the recent results. Let’s hope so, as it might be Liverpool’s only chance to qualify (BBC)
OPINION: Liverpool have become a chore to watch

It has become draining to watch Liverpool. Sadly, that is the reality and Joanna Durkan has her say on why this is not a new development:
There is no recognisable identity humming through the team, no clear pivot from Slot in response to his side’s deficiencies; instead, it is more of the same.
Mo Salah continues to be wasted on the touchline, the substitutions and timing of them are miscalculated, and players look as if they have no idea of where they’re supposed to be.
The emotion to results has dulled as we are starting to expect the worst and instead are surprised when it is the opposite. Frankly, it is painful, and more often than not a chore, to watch.

Liverpool FC: On this day

It was on March 12, 1921 that the legendary Joe Fagan was born in Walton, Liverpool.
Having not quite made it as a player for the Reds, Fagan returned as a coach just before Bill Shankly‘s arrival and would serve as a vital member of the Boot Room.
Upon Bob Paisley‘s retirement in 1983, Fagan stepped up to become Liverpool manager and led one of the club’s greatest-ever sides to a treble in 1984 of the European Cup, First Division and League Cup.
One of Liverpool’s true all-time greats. Oh, and is there a cooler photo of anyone, anywhere with the European Cup?!
