WWE Star Was Banned From Fraternizing With NFL and NBA Players As A Cheerleader

A current WWE RAW star says the NFL and NBA ban cheerleaders from fraternizing with players.

Former WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Maxxine Dupri was a recent guest on Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast. During the conversation, she looked back at her time as a cheerleader for the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams and as a dancer for the NBA’s Phoenix Suns.

The WWE star revealed that cheerleaders/dancers are not allowed to fraternize with the players, saying it goes against their contracts. She stated that even if they enter a relationship with players, they must keep it a secret to keep their jobs, citing Rob Gronkowski and Camille Kostek as examples.

“There were times when we were in the tunnel, and the other team’s water boy would come over and be like, ‘So-and-so’s throwing a party,’ but that’s against our contract. You can’t fraternize with the players, for NFL or NBA,” the WWE star said.

When asked how it works when a cheerleader and player are in a relationship, Maxxine Dupri said, “So, like Camille is a great example. But they kept it a secret while she was a cheerleader. On Rams, if someone found out, you’d be off the team. Suns was a little more relaxed.

The WWE star also explained how things worked for them in the Suns and the Rams

“The Rams, they love everyone that works for them, like we were treated so well. You couldn’t leave the locker room without a security guard,” the WWE star said. “They took such good care of us. The Suns, like, did not know that they had a dance team, so we had a blast. We were just running around, making videos in the whole arena.

“Everyone was having a great time. We’re getting free tables because we’re Suns dancers. For the Rams, if you were to try and get a table, and they found out, and you used Rams cheerleader as your in, you’d be in trouble,” Dupri said.
