Everton scouts have been watching Femi Azeez in recent weeks.
The Toffees are keeping close tabs on Azeez after his impressive season in the Championship with Millwall.
Everton interested in Azeez… how would you feel about a move for a Championship winger? 🤔
Everton target Femi Azeez.
Clearly, David Moyes is looking to strengthen out wide, as Azeez is one of several wingers who have been linked to the Hill Dickinson Stadium recently.
The interesting aspect of this potential transfer is the similarities it has to the Iliman Ndiaye signing. Perhaps Everton are hopeful that Azeez can follow a similar path.
Everton targeting Femi Azeez has similarities to Iliman Ndiaye deal
Ndiaye’s career path is unusual for such a high-level Premier League player.
The Toffees winger had to come through non-league, playing for the likes of Boreham Wood and AFC Hillgate, before making it in the professional ranks.
Interestingly, Azeez had to do the same. The Millwall winger spent the early stages of his career with Northwood, Wealdstone, Hanwell Town and Bracknell.

Everton target Crysencio Summerville.
Now, he’s established himself as one of the best players in the Championship at the age of 24.
Ndiaye, at the age of 23, had his breakout season in the second tier with Sheffield United, so the similarities between the two are uncanny.
It should give Everton a lot more confidence in doing a deal for Azeez, as Ndiaye is proof that players can make it in the Premier League despite not being at an elite academy growing up.
Brendan Rodgers has discussed these types of players as silver medalists. They are often great recruits as they have a chip on their shoulder and more to prove.
Speaking back in 2020, Rodgers said: “For me, silver medals are always the ones that break through, unlike gold medals among young people.
“This boy (Wesley Fofana) took the silver medal route. You can see through his journey that he had to fight to get there and when the opportunity to play for the first team came up he took it and was amazing.”
