The San Francisco 49ers have made a few big splashes this offseason already. While they've bolstered their defense, the most noteworthy move of the offseason was their $60 million acquisition of Mike Evans.
Adding Evans, the longtime Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver, is a very fun move for the 49ers this offseason. Fans should be ecstatic that they landed him, as he was the perfect fit for the team this offseason.
And if fans weren't excited enough already, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport shared a message from Evans at his introductory press conference that 49ers fans will love.

"I feel like they were one piece away, and I'm that piece," Evans said of the 49ers at his introductory press conference.
Evans, the 32-year-old veteran wide receiver, believes that not only are the 49ers close to contending for a Super Bowl, but that he is the final piece to get them another Lombardi.
With how the 2025 season went for the 49ers, there were so many injuries that it was too hard to overcome them all by the season's end.
But, if there were one position group that could've used some help last year, it was the wide receiver room.

Ricky Pearsall and Jauan Jennings didn't play a full season, and while they weren't terrible when they did play, there was plenty of room for improvement.
Evans, similarly to the 49ers, dealt with some injury problems last year. He played in just eight games, and for the first time in his career, came up short of 1,000 yards in a season.
But now that he's coming to the 49ers and is set to be in a high-volume role, Evans and the 49ers should be able to bounce back together.
Heading into 2026, the 49ers are going to need Evans to help them become a true Super Bowl contender. Evans believes he will be just that for the 49ers, and if he can get back to his 1,000-yard ways, it's not hard to see him help the 49ers turn things around.
