ESPN’s Mike Greenberg was criticized by fans online for calling on the Philadelphia Eagles to trade for Maxx Crosby.

Last week, the Baltimore Ravens agreed to a deal with the Las Vegas Raiders to trade for star pass rusher Crosby. The Ravens had reportedly agreed to send two first-round picks for Crosby even as he came off knee surgery, but the AFC North franchise decided to pull out after the 28-year-old failed a medical.

Instead, the Ravens pivoted in free agency and signed Trey Hendrickson. The move allowed Baltimore to keep its first-round selections, and Crosby recently broke his silence on the deal collapsing.

Speaking for the first time since the trade fell through, Crosby tweeted: "Everything happens for a reason. Believe nothing you hear and half of what you see. Im a Raider. I’m back. Run that s---."

Crosby appears to be very open to staying with the team after initially asking to leave this offseason. Despite his own interest in staying in Las Vegas, Greenberg took to ‘Get Up!’ to put forward his own trade idea.

Greenberg speculated that the Eagles could pull the trigger on a long-anticipated trade and deal A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots. The package they get for the wideout could then be used to bring Crosby to Philadelphia.

“I don’t know exactly what they would get in compensation, but a reasonable amount of draft pick compensation, which would load them up with a bunch of draft picks, and they take some of those draft picks, and they send them to the Las Vegas Raiders, and they bring Maxx Crosby to the Philadelphia Eagles,” Greenberg said.

“Where they won the Super Bowl two years ago largely because they rushed the passer so ridiculously well.

“A big part of their falloff has been that they haven’t done that as well in recent years. Maxx Crosby to the Eagles would make all the sense in the world to me, and they can get the extra picks by making the trade we’ve been talking about all along.”

Fans did not take to Greenberg’s proposed trade particularly well. One Raiders fan wrote: “We just ignoring Maxx posted this yesterday? Absolutely pathetic.”

“It literally came out of HIS mouth that he’s staying, these guys just can’t stop,” added another. One fan took aim at the network for the clickbait takes, posting: “Man espn you’re wasting peoples time and money with theses garbage takes.”
