The Seattle Seahawks have seen a few key players leave their team this offseason. Riq Woolen joined the Philadelphia Eagles, Boye Mafe joined the Cincinnati Bengals, and Coby Bryant joined the Chicago Bears.
But the most noteworthy one was Kenneth Walker III leaving the Seahawks for the Kansas City Chiefs. The Super Bowl MVP is off the roster one month later. To fill his job, the Seahawks need to find a new running back.
However, as NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports, Rachaad White, the top RB left in free agency, is joining the Washington Commanders. After that move, the Seahawks' options to replace Walker are not in a good spot in free agency.
Seahawks in bad spot in search for Kenneth Walker replacement
With a clear need at running back with Walker gone and Zach Charbonnet coming off a torn ACL, the Seahawks need to make a significant addition at running back.
All of the top running backs have chosen their new teams. The only options in free agency are not great ones.
Najee Harris, Joe Mixon, Austin Ekeler, and Antonio Gibson are all coming off serious injuries. Nick Chubb, Dare Ogunbowale, Jerome Ford, and Brian Robinson are likely the next best options.
Michael Carter, Dameon Pierce, and Emmanuel Wilson are some other interesting options the Seahawks could pursue.
But, compared to what Walker brought to the team, the Seahawks won't be able to bring in a high-quality, starting-caliber running back this offseason.
What they could try to do is trade for a running back this offseason. Someone like Tony Pollard of the Tennessee Titans could make sense, as he's in the final year of his current deal and would be a cheap rental for the Seahawks.

Picking 32nd overall in the 2026 NFL Draft, Jeremiyah Love has zero chance of making it to their pick, let alone within range of a trade-up.
To make matters worse, the depth of this class, especially after Love, is very lackluster compared to years prior. The Seahawks, as things currently stand, do not have a great running back option to fill Walker's shoes.
There are a few interesting free agents, one of whom the Seahawks will surely sign. Trading for Pollard, though, might be the best way to land a workhorse running back who would be a nice pairing with Charbonnet once he's healthy.
White was the best free agent the Seahawks could've added this offseason, but he's now heading to Washington to join Jayden Daniels and the Commanders.
