The Browns have two picks in the first round, creating an opportunity to add key pieces of the future to the roster. Last year, Cleveland traded down from the second overall pick to the fifth overall pick and selected DT Mason Graham, who played an integral role on the interior of the defensive line. The Browns have also used previous first-round picks to select CB Denzel Ward at fourth overall in 2018 and DE Myles Garrett as the first overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft.
Cleveland holds two picks on the second day of the draft in Rounds 2 and 3. In 2024, the Browns utilized their day two picks to bring in LB Carson Schwesinger at No. 33, RB Quinshon Judkins at No. 36, TE Harold Fannin Jr. at No. 67 and QB Dillon Gabriel at No. 94.
The Browns will round out the final day of the draft with five picks. In 2024, they selected RB Dylan Sampson at No. 126 and QB Shedeur Sanders at No. 144.
Overall, the Browns' 2025 draft class made a significant impact on the season on both sides of the ball.
On the defensive side of the ball, Graham recorded 49 tackles, half of a sack, seven tackles for loss and four passes defensed – with his tackles for loss second among all rookie defensive tackles. Schwesinger won AP Defensive Rookie of the Year after he led all NFL rookies with 146 tackles and 11 tackles for loss and was tied for third with two interceptions.
On the offensive side of the ball, Judkins led the Browns with 827 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns. Fannin led the Browns with 72 receptions – the most ever by any Browns rookie – and finished second among all NFL rookies in receptions, tied for second in receiving touchdowns with six and was fourth in receiving yards at 731. Sampson recorded 175 rushing yards and 271 receiving yards with two touchdowns. Both rookie quarterbacks earned a chance to play in 2025, with Gabriel starting six games and registering seven touchdown passes and two interceptions. Sanders closed out the season with seven starts, and his 364 passing yards in Week 14 were the most by a rookie in a game in 2025.
This year, the Browns have an opportunity in April to add another draft class that can help revamp the offense and add depth to the defense under new head coach Todd Monken and his staff.
