The Cardinals brought in tackle Elijah Wilkinson and Matt Pryor to sign their free-agent contracts on Thursday as the team looks to revamp the offensive line.
As part of those changes, they also moved on from Evan Brown, who was released.
Brown started at guard for 17 games in 2024 and then another 11 last season, missing the final five games of the year after his son had health issues at birth.
Brown had been scheduled to make $4.2 million in salary this season; his release means a $1.5M dead cap hit in 2026.
As it stands, the Cardinals will plug another newcomer, Isaac Seumalo, into Brown's starting left guard role. The right guard for now figures to be Isaiah Adams, although Pryor has experience. Wilkinson could start at right tackle -- he did in Atlanta last season all season -- but there could be a draft pick there as well. Wilkinson played in 10 games for the Cardinals in 2023, starting nine at left guard.
Jon Gaines II is another depth option at guard. In the starting lineup, Paris Johnson Jr. remains at left tackle, and Hjalte Froholdt is at center.
In addition to the Brown news, the Cardinals signed Wilkinson, Pryor, long snapper Casey Kreiter, quarterback Gardner Minshew II, defensive lineman Jonah Williams (the other Jonah Williams), running back Tyler Allgeier and wide receiver Kendrick Bourne.
