The Arizona Cardinals released guard Evan Brown on Thursday, freeing $4.9 million in cap space.
Brown signed a one-year deal in 2024 and started every game, earning himself a new two-year contract heading into last season.
The 29-year-old appeared in 11 games before sitting out the rest of the year after Week 13 for personal reasons. A post on Instagram on Jan. 9 revealed that Brown had spent the time away caring for his newborn son, who, after being born in December, required heart surgery because of a congenital heart defect.
Brown was still second among Arizona offensive linemen with 770 snaps on offense in 2025, behind only starting left tackle Paris Johnson Jr.
The Cardinals have third-year pro Isaiah Adams returning at guard and signed former Pittsburgh Steelers starting guard Isaac Seumalo in free agency.
They have also added Matt Pryor and Elijah Wilkinson in free agency and return Jon Gaines II.
