The San Francisco 49ers today announced they have signed OL Vederian Lowe to a two-year deal, OL Brett Toth to a one-year deal and re-signed TE Jake Tonges to a two-year deal.
Lowe (6-5, 315) was originally drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the sixth round (184th overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft. Throughout his four-year career with the Vikings (2022) and New England Patriots (2023-25), he has appeared in 46 games (25 starts) in addition to five postseason contests. In 2025, Lowe appeared in 17 games (four starts) while appearing in four postseason contests with the Patriots. He also has one career reception that resulted in a four-yard touchdown.
A 26-year-old native of Rockford, IL, Lowe attended the University of Illinois for five years (2017-21) where he appeared in 53 games (52 starts) on the offensive line.
Toth (6-6, 304) originally entered the NFL after signing with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent on August 16, 2019. Throughout his seven-years in the NFL with the Eagles (2019, 2020-25), Arizona Cardinals (2019-20) and Carolina Panthers (2023), he has appeared in 37 games (six starts) in addition to four postseason contests. In 2025, Toth appeared in 17 games (four starts) on the offensive line with the Eagles.
A 29-year-old native of Charleston, SC, Toth attended Army West Point Academy for four years (2014-17) where he appeared in 31 games (28 starts) on the offensive line.
Tonges (6-4, 240) originally entered the NFL after signing with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent on May 6, 2022. Throughout his four-years in the NFL with the Bears (2022-23) and San Francisco 49ers (2024-25), he has appeared in 37 games (two starts) and registered 34 receptions for 293 yards and five touchdowns. He has also appeared in two postseason contests (one start) and totaled six receptions for 73 yards. In 2025, Tonges appeared in 17 games (two starts) and tallied career highs in receptions (34), receiving yards (293) and receiving touchdowns (five) with San Francisco.
